Description iconographique:

Le sculpteur Emmanuel Frémiet (1824-1910) est assis sur un échafaudage devant une de ses oeuvres, un haut-relief représentant un roi à cheval. Sur les murs de son atelier, sont accrochés des sculptures et des croquis. Au premier plan, un modèle en bois imitant le dos d'un cheval et les jambes d'un cavalier. Commentaire historique:
