  • Significance: The Route 206 Raritan River Bridge is a well-preserved example of a concrete open-spandrel, barrel-arch bridge, representative of the early work of New Jersey State Highway Department Chief Bridge Engineer Morris Goodkind. Goodkind made important contributions to twentieth-century highway bridge engineering, particularly of concrete bridges.
