Summary edit
DescriptionBrady Building, Bliss Apartments and Knik Arm.jpg |
English: View looking northwest from the Hotel Captain Cook in Anchorage, Alaska. The foreground shows a closeup view of the Brady Building at 1031 West Fourth Avenue, the Bliss Apartments at 330 L Street and the intersection of Fourth and L. The Brady Building gained brief notoriety in recent times when a member of the local Civil Air Patrol committed suicide by taking one of the CAP's planes parked at Merrill Field without authorization and crashed it into the building, which happened to house the law firm his wife worked at. The Bliss Apartments has been around since at least the 1940s. In the background is Knik Arm and Point MacKenzie. |
