Description
English: Looking south down the Jamaica-bound (eastbound) platform of the Briarwood (Briarwood–Van Wyck) subway station in Briarwood, Queens. Note the generic "Exit" sign and the more specific exit sign pointing to the only fare control area. The currently layout of the station is somewhat bizarre, in which the main fare control area is situated between the center and southern ends of the station. The main exits, however, are at the north end of the station requiring a long passageway towards Main Street. Meanwhile, several pre-existing exits at the north end of the station are closed, likely due to the construction of the Van Wyck Expressway above the station.
