For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Bergen, Melker des VEG Die Milchleistung von 2300 auf 4600 Liter je Kuh gesteigert. Der Melkermeister Wilhelm Plieschek vom Volksgut Bergen Kreis Wanzleben Sachsen-Anhalt und seine Frau Marie, die am 13. Oktober beide als Aktivisten ausgezeichnet wurden, verpflichteten sich in Vorbereitung des III. Deutschen Bauerntages, alles daran zu setzen, ihren Bestand an Milchkühen im Laufe des Jahres 1952 von 42 auf 60 zu erhöhen und die Milchleistung auf 5000 Liter je Kuh und Jahr zu steigern. UBz: Als. W. Plischek und seine Frau die Kühe des Voksgutes Bergen am 1.1.1949 übernahmen, gaben die Kühe durchschnittlich 2300 Liter Milch im Jahr. Ein Jahr später gaben die Kühe schon 3488 Liter und jetzt beträgt die Jahresleistung je Kuh 4600 Liter.
