For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Merxleben, Ernte, Dreschen 23.7.1952 Das erste gemeinsam geerntete Korn wird gedroschen Die erste Produktionsgenossenschaft in Merxleben entstand aus der Erkenntnis heraus, daß die Bauern durch gemeinsame Bearbeitung ihres Bodens besser wirtschaften - d.h. die Maschinen mehr ausnutzen, durch gemeinsame Arbeit bessere Organisation und dadurch Arbeitserleichterung erreichen und höhere Hektarerträge einbringen. Am 17.7.1952 setzte die Produktionsgenossenschaft ihre neue Dreschmaschine in Betrieb und drosch das ADN-ZB TBD 23.7.1952 Das erste gemeinsam geerntete Korn. UBz: Die Maschine drischt das erste gemeinschaftlich geerntete Korn.
