For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. Zentralbild Köhler Kno-Be. 7.8.1952 Die ersten zum "Dienst für Deutschland" abgereist. Die ersten 50 Berliner Jugendlichen, die sich freiwillig zu der Organisation "Dienst für Deutschland" gemeldet haben, wurden am 7.8.1952 am Bahnhof Lichtenberg verabschiedet. UBz: V.l.n.r.: Heinz Hoffmann, Transportarbeiter, Rudi Kowalka und Horst Griebel, Elektrokarrenfahrer, alle drei arbeiten im Kabelwerk Oberepres und fahren nun gemeinsam an ihren neuen Arbeitsplatz in Pasewalk." |
