Meliotration, Begutachtung eines Stauwerks Zum Beitrag Die Mönche in der Großen Wiese. Wie die Friedländer das Wasser regulieren und so für viel Futter sorgen. ADN-ZB Bartocha 19.4.84-bb. Edwin Kaatz (links), Abteilungsleiter für Produktion und Technik der Meliorationsgenossenschaft Friedland im Bezirk Neubrandenburg mit Meister Paul Kowalski an einer der Baustellen, wo sogenannte Mönche, das sind montierbare Staubauwerke aus Beton zur Regulierung des Wassers, in die Gräben in der Großen Wiese zwischen den Orten Ferdinandshof und Schwichtenberg eingebaut werden. 65 derartige Staue wurden in diesem Jahr schon angelegt, sodaß ab Mitte April für etwa 5000 Hektar Grasland der Großen Wiese der für ein gutes Futterwachstum optimale Grundwasserstand von 60 cm Höhe unter Gelände garantiert werden kann. (Hierzugehört auch 1984-0419-301N)
