Gotha, Schloss Friedenstein ADN-ZB Ludwig-19.8.85 Bez. Erfurt-Literarische Entdeckung In der Forschungsbibliothek Gotha, die im Ostflügel des Schlosses Friedenstein unergebracht ist, wurde jetzt ein verschollenes Gedicht des italienischen Dichters und Humanisten Francesco Petraraca (1304 - 1374) in einer Handschrift des 15. Jahrhunderts entdeckt. Die Forschungsbibliothek enthält eine bedeutende Sammlung abendländischer und orientalischer Handschriften, die im Auftrag der regierenden Herzöge von Sachsen-Gotha und Altenburg in Jahrtausenden zusammengetragen wurden.
