For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Ausbildung zum Schäfer ADN-ZB Schaar 11.12.85 Bez. Suhl: Schäferausbildung. In den kommenden fünf Jahren soll der Schafbestand im Bezirk Suhl auf 85000 Tiere anwachsen. Dazu ist der entsprechende Berufsnachwuchs erforderlich. Die LPG Heßberg bildet seit fast einem Jahrzehnt Schäfer aus. Verantwortlich ist Lehrmeister Peter Kieser (l.). Er vermittelt den Schulabgängern das handwerkliche Rüstzeug, praktische Erfahrungen und so manchen Tip. Andreas Schmidt erhält Hinweise zur Klauenpflege der Tiere. Mit fast sechs Kilogramm Reinwolle je Bockmutter sowie mehr als 125 aufgezogenenen Lämmern von 100 Mutterschafen gehört die Heßberger Schafzucht zu den besten im Bezirk. siehe auch 1985-1211-12N
