For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Berlin, Weidendammer Brücke, "Reichsadler", Fernsehturm ADN-ZB Zimmermann 14.7.86 Berlin: In neuem Glanz erstrahlt das historische Geländer der Weidendammer Brücke in der Friedrichstraße. Alle vier Kandelaber - je zwei Tonnen schwer, elf Meter hoch und von einer mit Blattgold belegten 150 kg schweren Sonne gekrönt - zieren nun wieder das Geländer. Nach der Einfügung einiger noch fehlender Teile wird die im Februar 1985 begonnene Restauration der Balustrade aus den 90er Jahren des vorigen Jahrhunderts abgeschlossen. - Siehe auch 1986-0714-31 und 32 N -
