For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Neubrandenburg, Stargarder Tor, Architekt ADN-ZB Bartocha 10.8.1988 pe Neubrandenburg: Im Stargarder Tor wohnt der Architekt Joseph Walter. Er war für die originalgetreue Rekonstruktion des Stargarder, des Treptower und des Friedländer Tores verantwortlich. Sein Projekt, das mittelalterlicher Bauwerk für eine dreigeschossige Wohnung nutzbar zu machen, interessierte sehr viele Fachleute. Beim Ausbau kamen u.a. alte Strukturen wie die Backsteinfassungen der gotischen Spitzbogenfenster wieder zum Vorschein. Die bisher umfangreichste Aufgabe Joseph Walters auf dem Gebiet der Denkmalpflege ist die Studie zum Wiederaufbau der Neubrandenburger Marienkirche, die zur Zeit verwirklicht wird.
