For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Erfurt, 38. DDR-Meisterschaften im Sportschwimmen, Freistil ADN-ZB Kapser-17.6.87 Erfurt: 38. DDR-Meisterschaften im Sportschwimmen- Stimmungsvolle Atmosphäre währen des Staffel-Wettbewerbs über 4x 200 m Freistil der Damen am Eröffnungstag (16.6.87) der diesjährigen Titelkämpfe. Erfurt ist nach 1949 nun zum dritten Mal Austragungsort der Meisterschaften im Sportschwimmen. In der Erfurter Schwimmhalle Süd gehen 280 Aktive an den Start. Dabei ist die komplette DDR-Spitze mit allen Weltmeistern.
