For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
LPG Roggendorf, Drillen von Zuckerrüben ADN-ZB Pätzold-4.4.89-pst Bez. Schwerin: Frühjahrsbestellung. Mit der Aussaat von Zuckerrüben begannen die Bauern der LPG (P) Roggendorf im Kreis Gadebusch. Auf insgesamt 350 Hektar werden in diesem bedeutenden Zuckerrübenanbaubetrieb im Norden der DDR Hackfrüchte angebaut. Als Wettbewerbsinitiator strebt die LPG 1989 mit 400 dt-ha Nettoproduktion ihren bisher höchsten Ertrag bei Zuckerrüben an. siehe auch 1989-0404-9N. Knapp 210.000 Hektar Ackerland werden von den Bauern der DDR in diesem Frühjahr mit Zuckerrüben bestellt.
