For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Hellersdorf, Ankauf von Obst und Gemüse ADN-ZB Uhlemann 22.8.89 Berlin: Großstadt Hellersdorf. Die Kleingärtner rund um die Hellersdorfer Uckermarkstraße liefern derzeit zweimal wöchentlich frisches Obst und Gemüse zur Versorgung der Bevölkerung. An den fünf Aufkaufstellen des Stadtbezirks, der mit nunmehr 100.000 Einwohnern zur Großstadt in der Hauptstadt avancierte herrscht Hochbetrieb. -Siehe auch 1989/0822/6-9N. Aus den 37.000 Berliner Kleingartenanlagen kamen in diesem Sommer bereits knapp 388 Tonnen Obst und mehr als 500 Tonnen Gemüse.
