For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Jena, Universitätskinderklinik, Betreuerin mit Kindern ADN-Kasper 4.5.90 Bez. Gera-Krebskranke Kinder- Über eine lange Zeit versucht Erzieherin Claudia Friedrich, für Frank und Steffen die Mutti ersetzen. Die beiden Jungs müssen sich in der Universitätskinderklinik "Jussuf Ibrahim" Jena, wo sich das einzige Knochenmarktransplantationszentrum der DDR für Kinder befindet, einer langwierigen Behandlung unterziehen. Claudia Friedrich schloß sich der "Elterninitiative für krebskranke Kinder Jena e.V." an, deren Ziel es ist, während der Therapie den Kontakt zwischen Eltern und Kindern zu erleichtern.
