Frankfurt/Main, Neuartige Stahlwohnhäuser

Beamte der Zweizonenverwaltung erhalten neue Stahlhäuser Zum ersten Mal in der Geschichte des Wohnungsbaus wird in Frankfurt/Main eine ganze Siedlung in Fachwerk aus Stahl gebaut. Die Siedlung ist für die Beamten und Angestellten der Zweizonenverwaltung vorgesehen. Insgesamt sollen 16 drei- und 22 viergeschossige Häuser in 10 Blocks bis Weihnachten fertiggestellt werden. In den Häusern wird kein Holz verwendet - sogar Türen und Fensterrahmen sind aus Stahlblech hergestellt. Unser Bild ziegt das erste dreigeschossige Stahlhaus, das in 14 Tagen aufgerichtet wurde. Nach vorliegenden Plänen werden die Stahlprofile zu Rahmenkonstruktionen verschraubt und mit einem Turmkran fertig montiert hochgezogen. 27-7-48 Illus dpd
