Zentralbild Illner 14.10.1953 140 Jahr-Feier der Völkerschlacht bei Leipzig Auf dem historischen Boden der Völkerschlacht bei Leipzig, wo vor 140 Jahren, vom 16. bis 18.101813 das deutsche und russische Vok in treuer Waffenbrüderschaft gemeinsam gegen die napoleonische Unterdrückung siegreich kämpften. In diesem Jahr werden sich Menschen aus Ost und West zusammenfinden, um der unverbrüchlichen Freundschaft der deutschen mit den russischen Menschen zu gedenken, einer Freundschaft, die heute noch stärker als vor 140 Jahren Unterpfand für die glückliche Zukunft aller Menschen ist. UBz: Auf dem Martin Luther-Ring, gegenüber dem neuen Rathaus in Leipzig, steht das Körner-Denkmal. In freiwilliger Aufbauarbeit restaurieren der Steinmetz Paul Bernhard und der Bildhauer Martin Roth das Denkmal. |
