For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Berlin, Neujahrsmarkt, Pferdekarussell Zentralbild Weiß 11.1.54 "Fest der Jugend" auf dem Neujahrsmarkt. Auf dem Berliner Neujahrsmarkt fand am 10.1.1954 ein grosses Sport- und Kulturprogramm der FDJ statt, auf dessen Programm Eishockey-Spiele, Eiskunstlauf und Eisschnellauf standen. Ein lustiges Wurtschnappen und am Spieß gebratenes Ochsenfleisch sorgten für das leibliche Wohl der Zuschauer. UBz: Lustige Karussel-Fahrt mit dem Pony-Wagen.
