For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Zentralbild-Biscan Ra-Sta. 4 Mot. 15.4.1954 "Kein Lastkraftwagen fährt mehr leer zurück!" heisst die Losung, unter der die Kollegen des Kraftverkehrswesens in Magdeburg ihre Arbeit organisierten. Sie wollen den Transportraum besser nutzen und die Wirtschaft möglichst schnell beliefern. Am Stadtrand stellten sie Tafeln auf, die auf diese Meldestelle hinweisen. Hier bekommt der Kraftfahrer für sein Fahrzeug Fracht nachgewiesen, so daß er nicht unbeladen zu seinem Heimatort zurückfahren muss. UBz, Eine der Tafeln, wie sie am Stadtrand von Magdeburg aufgestellt wurden."
