Zentralbild-II 2.6.1954 "Prager Frühling 1954" Seit dem 12. Mai steht Prag im Zeichen des 9. internationalen Musikfestivals "Prager Frühling", das in diesem Jahr den Höhepunkt des "Tschechischen Musikjahrs" bildet, das den bedeutenden Smetana-Dvorak- und Janatschek-Jubiläum gewidemt ist. Daher erklingen vorwiegend Werke dieser grossen tschechischen Komponisten, die nicht nur von tschechoslowakischen Musikern, sondern auch von ausländischen Künstlern, Orchestern und Sängern vorgeführt werden. UBz: Das Leipziger Gewandhausorchester spielte unter der Leitung von Nationalpreisträger Professor Franz Konwitschny, die Sinfonie E-Dur des grossen deutschen Sinfonikers Anton Bruckner.-Professor Franz Konwitschny leitet das Gewandhausorchester im Smetana-Saal in Prag.
