For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Dampflok 18 001 (BR 18) Zentralbild Junge 24.4.1955 Mit D 71 kamen die Unterschriften der Dresdener Eisenbahner. Das Lok-Personal des D 71, der eine halbe Stunde nach Beginn der Unterschriftensammlung zum Wiener Appell des Weltfriedensrates Dresden verließ, brachte aus Dresden bereits die Unterschriften von 128 Eisenbahnern des Dresdener Hauptbahnhofs nach Berlin. Die Eisenbahner haben als erste ihr Unterschriften zum Wiener Appell gegeben. Gleichzeitig überbrachte das Lokpersonal eine Grußadresse an den Weltfriedensrat, welche die Cottbuser Eisenbahner dem D 71 mitgegeben hatten. UBz: Der D 71 fährt in den Berliner Ostbahnhof ein.
