For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Erfurt, Spielplatz, Sandkasten Zentralbild TBD-Wehse 30.9.1955 -3194- 2 Motive Nationales Aufbauwerk in Erfurt. Mehr Spielplätze für unsere Kinder. So lange es die Witterung zulässt, spielen unsere Kinder im Freien. An jedem sonnigen Herbsttag erklingt auf dem Kinderspielplatz Gartenstrasse-Lachsgasse-Mao-Tse-tung-Ring frohes Kinderlachen. Hier wurde aus einer ehemaligen Trümmerstelle im Nationalen Aufbauwerk der Stadt Erfurt, inmitten der Großstadt eine Grünanlage geschaffen, in der sich unsere Kinder ungefährdet austoben können. Die Spielgeräte wurden von dem Schlossermeister Kurt Gross, und seiner Belegschaft in ca. 300 freiwilligen Arbeitsstunden geschaffen. UBz: Für unsere Kleinen ist der Sandkasten ein idealer Spielplatz.
