Leichtathletik-Meisterschaften der DDR in den Staffel- und Einzelwettbewerben der Männer und Frauen statt. UBz: Zielbild des 2. Vorlaufes über 1500 m. Der siegreiche Siegfried Herrmann (Chemie Halle-Leuna) passiert nach 3:41,8 Min. als Erster vor Valentin (Vorwärts) die Ziellinie.
