For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.  Berlin, Rentenauszahlung
Zentralbild Hesse-Mellahn 2.6.1958 Über 214.000 Berliner Rentner erhalten Zuschläge - Auszahlung vollzieht sich reibungslos. 167.000 Rentner im demokratischen Berlin erhalten auf Grund des Gesetzes zur Abschaffung der Lebensmittelkarten und zur weiteren Verbesserung des Lebensstandards einen Ausgleich in Höhe von 12 DM. Weitere rund 12 500 Rentner bekommen Ehegattenzuschläge in Höhe von ebenfalls 12 DM, 35.000 Rentner einen Ehegattenzuschlag von 5 DM. Am Montagmorgen herrschte in den meisten Berliner Auszahlstellen völlig normaler Betrieb. UBz: Der Rentner Max Neustadt empfängt auf dem Postamt 0 34 in Berlin Boxhagenerstrasse seinen Zuschlag. |
