For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Dampflok 23 1020 (BR 23) Zentralbild Krueger Pr-Ho. 18.7.1958 Jugendlok "V. Parteitag" der SED übergeben. Eine der beiden Jugendloks, die ein Geschenk der Jungeisenbahner aus der DDR und Berlin an den V. Parteitag der SED sind, wurde am 18.7.1958 auf dem Berliner Ostbahnhof vom Lokwerk "Karl Marx" in Babelsberg an die Deutsche Reichsbahn übergeben. Der Bau der beiden Personenzuglokomotiven wurde durch die Erlöse aus freiwilligen Arbeitseinsätzen und Sonderschichten junger Eisenbahner ermöglicht. UBz: Die Jugendlok "V. Parteitag" auf dem Bahnhof Berlin-Grünau.
