For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. Zentralbild-Biscan 9.9.1958 Vor Beginn der Zuckerkampagne. Neuer Kühlturm für Zuckerraffinerie. In der Zuckerraffinerie "Hermann Danz" in Magdeburg sind die Vorbereitungen für die diesjährige Kampagne im vollen Gange. Zu den wichtigsten Neubauten dieses Jahres gehört ein neuer Kühlturm, der doppelt so groß wird wie der Bisherige. Die Werktätigen des Reichsbahn-Stahlbau Desau, des VEB Spezialbau Leipzig und der Zuckerraffinerie selbst haben sich die Aufgabe gestellt, den Kühlturm bis spätestens 5. Oktober fertigzustellen.
