For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Ballhausen, Schweineställe mit Außengehegen Zentralbild Zimmer 3.5.1959 Zusätzlichen Stallraum für Schweine aus eigenen Mitteln. Nicht nur eine ganze Anzahl Schweinpilze baut gegenwärtig die LPG "Einheit" in Ballhausen, Krs. Bad Langensalza, um zusätzlichen Stallraum für Schweine zu schaffen, sondern auch feste behelfsmäßige andere Unterkünfte. Diese Unterkünfte haben einen festen Auslauf und wurden aus vorwiegend alten Holblocksteinen errichtet. Die Schweine fühlen sich offensichtlich darin wohl. UBz: Behelfsstallungen für Schweine (links) und einige fertiggestellte Schweinepilze. (rechts)"
