This description has been identified as biased or incorrect: This text is GDR propaganda language replacing the proper titles and functions of the persons shown improperly. e.g. Kriegsminister (minister of war) instead of Verteidigungsminister (minister of defence). Also General Speidel ist titled Nazigeneral, meant as insult

Blank besucht Generalslehrgang
Bundeskriegsminister Theodor Blank und der bayrische Ministerpräsident Dr. Wilhelm Högner statteten am 15.Mai 1956 den ersten Offizierslehrgang auf der kürzlich in "General Ludwig Beck-Kaserne" umbenannten Ordensburg Sonthofen einen Besuch ab. Unter den rund 300 Teilnehmern des Lehrganges befinden sich sieben Generale der Bundeswehr sowie Träger hoher faschistischer Kriegsauszeichnungen.
UBz: Nachdem Nazigeneral Speidel (links im Bild) den Lehrgang an Kriegsminister Blank gemeldet hatte, schritt dieser in Begleitung von Ministerpräsident Högner die Front ab. Im Vordergrund rechts eine in Sonthofen stationierten amerikanische Ausbildungseinheit.
