For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Zentralbild-Hofer Som-Qu 20.10.1959 Leipziger Gewandhausorchester in München umjubelt Zeugnis von der Höhe des Musikschaffens in der DDR legte am 18.10.1959 das Leipziger Gewandhausorchester unter Leitung seines Dirigenten, Nationalpreisträger Franz Konwitschny in München ab. 2300 Münchner waren in den großen Saal des "Deutschen Museums" gekommen. Das Leipziger Gewandhausorchester befindet sich auf einer Tournee durch westdeutsche Städte, durch Städte der Schweiz, Frankreichs und Belgiens. UBz. Kaum dass der letzte Ton des Konzertes verklungen war, drängten die Konzertbesucher zur Bühne und feierten Orchester und Dirigenten fast eine viertel Stunde lang mit wahren Beifallsstürmen."
