For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. Zentralbild-Burmeister He 2.11.1959 Werkstatt-Schiff aus der DDR nach Hamburg überführt. Unter der Handelsflagge der DDR mit Hammer, Zirkel und Ährenkranz traf am 31.10.59 das auf der Elbewerft Boizenburg gebaute Werkstattschiff "PM 1104" vor den Elbbrücken im Hamburg ein. Das über 700 Tonnen grosse Schiff, das selbst keinen Antrieb besitzt, fuhr im Schlepp zweier Motorschlepper und ist als viertes einer Serie gleichartiger Schiffe für die Sowjetunion bestimmt. Auf der Werft Böttcher und Gröning im Hamburger Hafen wird das Schiff mit den wegen der Brückendurchfahrt noch nicht montierten restlichen Aufbauten versehen und für die weitere Überführungsfahrt in die Ostsee vorbereitet. UBz: Von zwei Leichtern getragen, die beide ebenfalls die Flagge der DDR gesetzt haben, trat das Werkstattschiff seine Reise auf der Elbe nach Hamburg an. ( Siehe auch Fotos 68 527-1 - 2 N )" |
