For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. Zentralbild Sturm 11.8.1961 Berlin: Amt für Zoll und Kontrolle des Warenverkehrs (AZKW) legt Schiebern und Spekulanten das Handwerk Die Kollegen des AZKW versehen täglich an allen Übergängen vom demokratischen Berlin nach Westberlin ihren verantwortungsvollen Dienst. Durch Schieber und Spekulanten wird die Volkswirtschaft der DDR schwer geschädigt, und es gehört zur Aufgabe des AZKW, in Zusammenarbeit mit den Genossen der Volkspolizei durch ihre Kontrolltätigkeit diesen Subjekten das Handwerk zu legen. Die verbrecherischen Handlungen, von der Frontstadt Westberlin ständig geschürt und durch den Schwindelkurs begünstigt zeigen jeden Tag aufs Neue, wie dringend notwendig die friedliche Regelung des Westberlinproblems und die Schaffung einer entmilitarisierten Freien Stadt ist. UBz: Frau Emmy Schmidt aus Striesdorf Kreis Güstrow (Bezirk Schwerin) wollte 4 kg Speck, eime Ente (4,5 kg), 3 1/2 Pfund Butter, 3 1/2 Pfund Schmalz und verschiedene Industriewaren nach Westberlin verschieben, um sich durch de Schwindelkurs auf Kosten der Werktätigen der DDR zu bereichern. Das AZKW legte ihr das Handwerk. |
