For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. Zentralbild-Brüggmann 13.8.1963 Pionierappell in der Wuhlheide Anläßlich des zweiten Jahrestages der Errichtung des antifaschistischen Schutzwalls fand am 13. August 1963 vor dem Pionierpark "Ernst Thälmann" in der Wuhlheide in Berlin ein Appell statt, an dem rund 2 000 Junge Pioniere und Schüler teilnahmen. Nach einer kurzen Begrüßung durch den stellvertretenden Direktor des Pionierparks Günther Hermann überbrachte Oberleutnant Rudi Hessler vom Wachregiment Berlin den Jungen Pionieren die Grüße der Offiziere und Soldaten. Als äusseres Zeichen des Dankes für die stätige Einsatzbereitschaft unserer Soldaten der Nationalen Volksarmee überreichten Junge Pioniere Oberleutnant Rudi Hessler Blumen. UBz. Während des Appells." |
