For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
LPG Niederpöllnitz, Getreideernte Zentralbild Liebers 24.8.1964 Bezirk Gera: Auch am Sonntag auf den Feldern. Auch am Sonntag (23. August 1964) war in der LPG "Einigkeit" in Niederpöllnitz im Kreis Gera alles auf den Feldern, um die letzten Getreideflächen abzuernten. Bisher wurden hier einschließlich des Wiesnschwingels und der Ackerbohne 240 ha mit dem Mähdrescher geborgen, 80 ha warten noch darauf, geerntet zu werden. Die Genossenschaft hat ihre gesamte Getreidefläche mit dem Mähdrescher geerntet. Den Mähdreschern (unser Bild) folgen die Strohpressen auf dem Fuße, so daß die Flächen in kürzester Zeit geräumt und für den Zwischenfruchtanbau frei sind. Der Bezirk Gera hat am 23. August seinen Staatsplan in Getreide erfüllt.
