For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Zentralbild-Kluge-sche-10.12.1967-Dessau: Deutsche Meisterschaften der DDR im Geräteturnen der Frauen (9.-10.12.1967). Einen großartigen Erfolg feierte die 15jährige Berliner Turnerin Karin Janz (SC dynamo), bei den deutschen Einzelmeisterschaften. Durch eine glänzende Kür am Stufenbarren (Foto), für die sie die Tageshöchstnote 9,90 Punkte erhielt, konnte sie noch vor der bis zum letzten Gerät führenden Erika Zuchold, neue deutsche Turnmeisterin der DDR werden.
