Weimar, VEB Weimar-Werk, Mähdrescher Zentralbild Demme 6.8.68 Erfurt: Spitzenerzeugnis des Landmaschinenbaubetriebes VEB Weimar-Werk in Weimar ist der Kartoffelsammelroder E665, Hauptglied der Maschinensystemde zur industriemäßigen Produktion von Kartoffeln. Für dieses Erzeugnis erhielt das Werk 1968 auf der Leipziger Messe eine Goldmedaille und ein Diplom mit Goldmedaille auf der "agra 68". Mehr als 3 500 Werktätige des Weimar-Werkes haben in den zurückliegenden Wochen die Planziele für die nächsten beiden Jahe diskutiert. Die Planaufgaben für das nächste Jahr, die zur Diskussion standen, wurden mit über 600 Vorschlägen der Landmaschinenbauer bereichert - Vorschlägen vor allem zur Senkung der Kosten durch Einsparungen von Hilfs- und Grundmaterial und zur raschen Steigerung der Arbeitsproduktivität.
