For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
This description has been identified as biased or incorrect: Kein FDJ-Fanfarenzug, sondern einer der Jungen Pioniere.
Not a marching band of the FDJ (youth organisation for ages 14+), but one of the Junge Pioniere (age 7-14).

Rostock: Arbeiterfestspiele- Semlower Kinder bereiten sich vor- Die Schüler und Pioniere der Oberschule in Semlow, Kreis Ribnitz-Dambarten, proben intensiv für die Semloweer Kulturfesttage (6. und 7.6.70) und die 12. Arbeiterfestspiele im Bezirk Rostock. Die Jungen und Mädchen des Fanfarenzuges aus Semlow gehören zum Bezirks-Fanfarenzug und werden während der Arbeiterfestspiele in der Bezirkshauptstadt auftreten.
