For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Rostock, Überseehafen, Frachter, Schlepper Zentralbild Sindermann 24.10.70 Rostock: Containerschiff Boltenhagen mit Elektronik-Auge. Das erste Spezial-Containerschiff , das auf der Elbewerft Boizenburg-Roßlau erbaut wurde, ist gestern an die Deutsche Reereederei übergeben worden. Es ist für den Linienverkehr zwischen Rostock und London-Tilbury bestimmt. Die Maschinenanlage ist weitgehend automatisiert. Sie kann 24 Stunden lang ausschließlich von "elektronischen Augen" bewacht werden. Eine Besatzung von sieben Mann reicht aus.
