Berlin, Pergamonmuseum, Ischtar-Tor Zentralbild Link 17.3.71 Berlin: Pergmaon-Museum-Besucher aus aller Welt betrahcten bei einem Besuch der DDR-Hauptstadt die berühmten Sehenswürdigkeiten des Pergamon-Museums. Einer der Anziehungspunkte ist das Lechtar-Tor mit Teilen der Faststraße (Prozessionsstraße) von Babylon, das um 580 v.u.Z. unter dem neubabylonischen König Nebukadnezar II. erbaut wurde. Der in farbig glasierter Keramik hochkünstlerisch ausgeführte Wandschmuck ist trotz der dauernden Wiederholung seiner Motive eine Gipfelleistung der babylonischen Künster und Handwerker.
