For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Glaubitz, Einstellen einer Beregnungsanlage ADN-ZB Häßler 22.7.71-ch Bezirk Dresden: Größte Beregnungsanlage der DDR im Kreis Riesa - 5400 Hektra landwirschaftliche Nutzfläche im Bereich der etwa 10 Kilometer langen Kanalstrecke des Kanalobjektes Riesa können zusätzlich beregnet werden. Die Genossenschaftsbauern - unser Foto zeigt Gotthard Schurig (vorn) und Gerhard Weidner beim Auslgegen der Flügelleitung der Beregnungsanlagen der LPG "Vereinte Kraft" in Glaubitz - rechnen durch diese Maßnahme mit einer beträchtlichen Ertragssteigerung. Die zusätzlich beregneten Flächen werden von den LPG aus 18 Dörfern genutzt.
