For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Weimar, "Grünes Schloss" ADN-ZB Demme 13.4.78 Bez. Erfurt: Schöne DDR. Das grüne Schloß in Weimar, dessen ältester Teil aus dem 16. Jahrhundert stammt, dient seit über 200 Jahren als Bibliotheksgebäude. Hier ist neben der Bibliothek der deutschen Klassik eine umfangreiche Shakespeare-Bibliothek untergebracht. Während der diesjährigen Shakespeare-Tage, die vom 20. bis 23 April stattfinden, werden in- und ausländische Gäste der Bildungsstätte gewiß einen besuch abstatten. Zu den Shakespeare-Tagen werden rund 1 300 Mitglieder und Freunde der Deutschen Shakespeare-Gesellschaft aus 15 Ländern erwartet. (siehe auch 18N und ADN-Meldung vom 13.4.78!!)
