For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. ADN-ZB-Sindermann-16.3.1979-Rostock: Atelier - An einer Einstein-Plastik arbeitet der Rostocker Bildhauer Joachim Jastram in seinem Atelier. Die etwa zwei Meter hohe, auf seinem Sockel sehende Büste, soll ihren Platz im Institut für theoretische Physik in Jena erhalten. Der Künstler machte sich für diese Arbeit nicht nur mit vielfältigen Abbildungen Einsteins von der Kindheit bis ins höhe Alter vertraut, er studierte auch intensiv wissenschaftliche Arbeiten des großen Gelehrten, der am 14.3.79, 100 Jahre alt geworden wäre. |
