  • Significance: The U.S. Naval Base at Pearl Harbor was designated as a National Historic Landmark in 1964. The Signal Tower, classified as a Category 1 structure, is a 69 year old facility located within the Pearl Harbor National Historic Landmark. As a Category 1 structure, it has been determined that the Signal Tower constituted a prominent element of the Landmark and has played a major role in the operation of the Pearl Harbor Naval Base.
