Dansk: Møens Klint i 3/4 mils afstand fra kysten og en sejlende korvet
  • Dansk: Eckersberg udførte maleriet efter en sejltur med korvetten "Najaden" i juli 1833. Han påbegyndte rejsen den 7. juli 1833, og den 13. juli passerede skibet Møn, hvor han ifølge dagbogen udførte en tegning af Møns Klint (ukendt ejer; Dagbøger, 2008, bd. 1, p. 553). Han gik i land i Nyborg den 20. juli og tog derefter dampskibet til Korsør og rejste med hestevogn tilbage til København og var hjemme igen den 22. juli. Han kaldte maleriet "en Erindring fra Reisen, Møens Klint seet fra Søen i 3/4 Miils Afstand" (dagbog 5. august 1833).
