English: The Sun Inn bus stop on the Middle Road, Calbourne, Isle of Wight, for east bound services. It has traditionally been served by Southern Vectis route 7, but due to continuing problems with the reimbursement rate for concessionary free travel, from 5 September 2010 route 7 was revised. The previous service that alternated between serving Calbourne, Newbridge, Wellow & Thorley and Shalfleet, Cranmore & Bouldnor was stopped, with all journeys running via Shalfleet, then Wellow and Thorley. This left Calbourne, Newbridge, Cranmore and Bouldnor with no bus service at all. To compensate, Wightbus routes 35 and 36 were extended from their old termini of Newtown and Brighstone respectively to Yarmouth via Calbourne, Newbridge, Cranmore and Bouldnor, to provide a very limited replacement for the 7. Until 20 December 2009 the stop was also served by Southern Vectis route 11, which ran directly between Newport and Freshwater via the Middle Road. The service was withdrawn from that date, however from the 18 April 2010 timetable change new limited stop commuter route X11 started, running from Freshwater to Newport in the mornings and back again in the evenings. Therefore, at the time of this photo, the bus stop was served by Southern Vectis route X11 and Wightbus routes 35 and 36.
