The verso (writing on the back of the photo) has written in handwriting the words 'Grandmother Greene's Sister Sarah – (Mrs Watson)'.

The other version does have text imprint on the back which identifies the photographer as 'Tom Taylor 405 Oxford Street, next door to the Soho Bazaar' and the printed statement that 'copies of this portrait can be always had at 1 shilling each'.
