Le chêne de Bons-Secours est aujourd'hui mort, après que ses vieilles grosses branches maitresses dont certaines dépérissaient ont été - à la fin du XXème siècle - coupées pour « mise en sécurité » du public. Mais son tronc se dresse encore près du château. Il est réputé être l'un des plus gros chênes qui ont été conservés dans le nord de la France, si ce n'est le plus important (en diamètre). Il aurait entre 700 et 800 ans selon les estimations et était déjà considéré comme remarquable au XIV ème siècle. il existe aussi un Séquoïa de plus de 120 ans non loin de ce chêne, planté dans le parc du Château au 19ème siècle
