Description
English: Looking into the Chelsea Waterside Play Area within Chelsea Waterside Park, at West 23rd Street at 11th Avenue near the West Side Highway in Chelsea, Manhattan. The park was reconstructed in the late 1990s by the NYSDOT, however most of the playground wasn't opened until 2005. The current play area was constructed in a recent renovation, opening in August 2018. I believe (based on my research) these stone stairs/seats were created from the former arch of Pier 54, now also part of Hudson River Park.
