Na de oorlog werd de wederopbouw ter hand genomen. De commissaris der Koningin, jhr. mr. A.F.C. de Casembroot, onthult een monument dat de geslaagde wederopbouw symboliseert.  SHOTS:  - Sfeershots die de wederopbouw uitbeelden: ext. nieuwe huizenblokken; ext. nieuwe kerk; ext. nieuwe watertoren;  - De Casembroot onthult het monument, bestaande uit het beeld van een eenhoorn, geplaatst op een sokkel in een vijvertje in een klein plantsoen midden tussen de huizen; - ext. monument.
