Notes
  • Significance: Bowens Wharf, which was fully developed by the late eighteenth and early nineteenth century when owned by Robert Stevens, is the best preserved example of characteristic waterfront development in Newport. Surviving buildings include a warehouse, a ship chandlery, and Stevens' unusual double house at the head of the wharf.
